Town Close School - NCL Contractors

During the pre-start meeting our client informed us that the majority of the project work would be carried out during school term time and we were to keep disruption to a minimum. This required careful planning of certain tasks.

To minimise disruption some works were carried out at weekends. During the site clearance stage some of the floors inside the existing building had to be demolished after 3pm due to extensive noise.

Once the site clearance and demolition was complete, we then commenced with all other works which included footings, block and beam floors, internal and external drains, installation of new 75mm gas main supply and reinstatement of surfaces.

Phase two of our works was to strip the existing playground area to form a level base. We installed 44 concrete pads ready a new 4 classroom modular building.

Installation of new services and drains was completed to provide water, electric and data. Other works included disabled access ramps, paving and surfacing.

We worked closely with our client and architects throughout the project to overcome unforeseen problems enabling us to still complete on time.
